Well, I have heard that under Islamic law that music is fine if only the instruments sounds are heard and no voices are heard. I believe the reasoning behind this is because certain words initiate people to think and act in unlawful manners. Now I am not saying this is the reason….but thats what I think the reason could be? Also, music causes one to be irrational at moments and thats the reason that Plato’s Republic said in his perfect society that music would be banned. I was wondering what other Muslims think about this issue?
